Saturday, March 12th - The vocalist Cleveland Jones will perform at the Velvet Note in Alpharetta with the Justin Varnes Trio featuring Randy Hoexter, Mike Beshara, and John Sandfort. 4075 Old Milton Pkwy. Alpharetta.
Also on Saturday, Standard Practice, a group featuring saxophonist Jeff Crompton, bassist Chris Riggenbach, and drummer Kenito Murray will perform at Elliott Street Pub. 51 Elliott St. SW. Atlanta.
Sunday, March 13th - Pianist Louis Heriveaux will perform at the C. Ellet’s jazz brunch from noon to 3PM. 2605 Circle 75 Pkwy. Suite 400. Atlanta.
Monday, March 14th - The TEN ATL jam session in East Atlanta happens every Monday evening. The music goes from 9 until midnight and features a host of great jazz musicians in Atlanta. 495 Flat Shoals Ave SE, Atlanta
Tuesday, March 15th - Joe Gransden’s Quintet will perform at Roaring Social in Alpharetta. 35 Milton Ave. Alpharetta. 8-11PM.
Wednesday, March 16th - The Venkman’s Jazz Jam with Joe Gransden is back in the newly renovated space. All musicians are welcome to sit in. 740 Ralph McGill Blvd. NE.
Also on Wednesday, the Red Light Cafe jam session led by the great trumpeter and educator Gordon Vernick will take place. This is one of the best jazz jam sessions in town. You can hear many of the jazz voices of tomorrow in addition to established veterans. 9 to midnight. 553-1 Amsterdam Ave NE, Atlanta.
Thursday, March 17th - There’s a new jam session in town and it’s a great one. Hosted by Tony Hightower and Terence Harper at The Relapse Event Center on 14th St, the session features a wide range of great jazz players from around 9PM to midnight. 380 14th St. NW. Atlanta.
Friday, March 18th - The Joe Farnsworth Quartet will perform at The Velvet Note. Featuring an all-star band from New York City, this promises to be a great show. 4075 Old Milton Pkwy. Alpharetta.
