Tuesday, October 18th - Que Pasa Latin Jazz featuring Vinnie D’Agostino, Randy Hoexter on keyboards, Che Marshall on drums, and Neal Starkey on bass will perform at the Red Light Cafe. 8PM. 553-1 Amsterdam Ave. Atlanta.
Wednesday, October 19th - The Harper/Hightower Hang, a jam session featuring trumpeter Terence Harper and vocalist Tony Hightower is back at a new location: Sweet Georgia Juke Joint at 200 Peachtree St. NE. Atlanta. 9PM to 1AM.
Also on Wednesday Gordon Vernick’s Quartet at the Red Light Cafe will perform before opening up the stage to a wide-range of jazz performers for the weekly jam session. The show begins at 8PM. 553-1 Amsterdam Ave NE, Atlanta.
Also on Wednesday, The Venkman’s Jazz Jam with Joe Gransden happens every Wednesday. All musicians are welcome to sit in. 7PM to 9PM. 740 Ralph McGill Blvd. NE.
Thursday, October 20th - Pianist Nathanel Smith will perform at The Epicurean in Midtown from 5 to 8PM. 1117 West Peachtree St. NW. Atlanta.
Friday, October 21st - The Joe Gransden Big Band with guest Robin Latimore will perform at Jazz on the Lawn at Callanwolde Fine Arts Center.
Saturday, October 22nd - The Jazz Music Awards at Cobb Energy Center will feature a who's who of jazz luminaries including Diane Reeves, Terri Lynn Carrington, Kenny Garrett, Brandee Younger, Dee Dee Bridgewater, and many more at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center. 2800 Cobb Galleria Parkway, Atlanta.
Sunday, October 23rd - The Terence Harper Quartet will perform at Joe’s Jazz Joint a project of the Atlanta jazz legend Joe Jennings. 2148 Newnan St. Atlanta. 4PM to 7PM.
